About the ODL Team

Pratima EnfieldPratima Enfield

Executive Director
Dr. Pratima Enfield leads the Online and Distance Learning (ODL) Office at Johns Hopkins SAIS. Dr. Enfield has a BA in English from Delhi University, an MA in Literature from Fitchburg State University, and a PhD in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University Bloomington. With more than 15 years in the field of online learning, her academic and professional experience has been centered around personalized learning, online learning and leadership. In her role as the Executive Director, Dr. Enfield is in charge of leading the online program portfolio for the school and building internal capacity in offering traditional face-to-face courses through alternative modalities.


Sandra ChadwellSandra Chadwell

Instructional Designer
Sandra joined the Online and Distance Learning (ODL) Office at Johns Hopkins SAIS in August 2019. She began her career in instructional technology at a community college in Virginia, where she was appointed the full-time Blackboard Administrator and Trainer. Sandra enjoyed helping faculty and students navigate instructional technology and decided to pursue an Instructional Design & Development MEd from George Mason University. She completed the degree in 2012. Sandra began working at Johns Hopkins Advanced Academic Programs in 2015 as an instructional designer where she collaborated with faculty in the design and development of over 75 online courses. 


Lindsay RyanLindsay Ryan

Manager of Online Student Experience and Enrollment
Lindsay has over eleven years of experience in online enrollment management from two major online universities. She earned a Master’s degree in International Relations and Conflict Resolution from American Military University, plus additional classes with United States Institute of Peace and the Humanitarian Leadership Academy. During her time in graduate school, Lindsay was also the first Vice President of the Gamma Omega chapter of the International Relations honor society, Sigma Iota Rho. Lindsay also has several years experience as an ESL teacher, including a summer program in Slovakia.


Nathan KrepsNathan Kreps

Senior Instructional Technologist
Nathan has supported, promoted, and provided training for academic technologies for face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses at Johns Hopkins SAIS since 2007. His portfolio includes Blackboard, video recording and management, course evaluations, academic integrity and other instructional support. In the ten years prior to joining the school he worked at a prestigious independent high school in Maryland overseeing technical and instructional support. Nathan holds a BS from Northwestern University in Television and Film with a focus on educational media for children and an MA from George Washington University in Educational Technology Leadership.


Christopher LyonsChristopher Lyons

Instructional Technologist
Christopher has more than eight years of international experience in education. He has taught English as a second language (ESL), both in person and online, to students throughout Asia. He served as the English Program Coordinator for an English immersion school in Cambodia. There, he created and managed the school’s distance learning program in response to COVID-19. He earned his MET from Boise State University in 2020. He is currently completing an MS in Computer Information Systems at Boston University.
